here are a few little comments from libby while we were on our trip!
I had to take her to the bathroom every time I went. Every bathroom has an echo and she likes to hear herself make noise! but the last day of our trip we were at union station and we walk into the bathroom stall and she turns to me and says " MMOOOOOMMM I NEEEEEEED to go POOOOOOOOOOOP"and I hear the lady in the stall next to me start to snicker! I sure hope she was a grandma and appreciated it!
the Washington monument will now be referred to in our home as rupunzels tower.
She would be horrible in the morning when we would get up. over tired, out of sorts, needed to be home. but after her temper tantrums she would say she wanted to go to the museum. Apparently she found them in treating.
We rode the metro/ subway a ton. we found it interesting that the money/ ticket stations would have a place for you to "dip" your credit card, not insert.
libby loved riding the metro. she has an uncanny sense of knowing where we are and if we are off track. she knew which stop was uncle mikes. in dc and after the first 2 rides was already repeating the women's voice about the doors opening and closing.
During our many times in the metro her favorite part was to be swinging around the poles. she thought she pretty cool that she could do that.
When we got back to DC and on the metro our train said "next stop dupont circle" Libby said "mom this is not our stop we need south ferry" because that was our stop in New York.
