Jazz workout

We had the opportunity to take Libby to "Train" with the Jazz.  We met Trey Burke, and Enes Kanter. Here are pictures from the event.  We spent 2 hours with them.  They had 4 groups and they split between making layups, seeing the locker room, free throws, and passing.  The little kids (Libby's age) couldn't reach the basket so they improvised and brought out a box for them to shoot into.  Libby got bored but I was glad they had lots of space to play in.

The one picture of me, and Marshall had to make it blurry :-/

a (poorly shot) panoramic of the Jazz locker room

2 of the Jazz players shoes.  We were super impressed by the size difference.  It was cool to see that Larry Miller had all the jerseys of the jazz.

Exercising Jan 14

I (Brittany) started meeting with the personal trainer at Marshall's work once a week.  I have never been able to do anything exercise-ish every in my life because of...fear, getting my heart rate up was unpleasant, my health wouldn't let me, and a plethora of other reasons.  Some were excuses and some were actual health challenges.  Well I have all my heart struggles under control, which is really nice.  And the Dr tells me "you need to be eating right, sleeping well, and exercising, if you aren't doing these regularly we have a problem"... so baby= not very restful sleep.  Stress= poor eating habits (I am a stress eater), Exercising= I HATE.  So Marshall signed me up to be healthier and today I am grateful for his encouragement and help to get healthy --especially because he never said "fat" always "Healthy".  I want to be around for a long time.  I know that small steps can make that happen.
So every day of the week (not the weekends) I exercise.  I have a workout that I get when I go on Thursday and I do it for 1-2 weeks depending on how I feel about my accomplishments.  I usually do my workout in the mornings before breakfast (mon, wed, fri) I drop Libby off at school, and Reese takes a nap and I exercise. (tues and thursday) I have help from little helpers since Libby doesn't have school :-)  .  I can tell you that I can walk to and from the church without getting winded.  I can go up and down the stairs without stopping halfway to catch my breath.  I will be ready to walk with my young women to the temple in August.
So the following pictures are ones where I had  "help" exercising .  Libby look the pictures and she hasn't figured out how to stand still long enough to get a blurry free shot ;-)

Grandma Stonehocker brought Libby over some pipe cleaners when she got sick.  She came in after playing with them for a bit and she had made her name.  She was so proud of herself and so was I.
