Ragnar, and fun in the sun

June 18-21

The week of July 16th Marshall spent Sunday through Wednesday in Chicago for a conference for work.  He had been out there two times before so he didn't take any pictures except for the lion statue in front of a museum that had a hockey helmet on because the Chicago Blackhawks were in the Stanley Cup Finals.

Meanwhile Britt and the girls had a "normal" week.

So Wednesday night Britt had to pick up Marshall at the airport and quickly take him to meet the rest of his Ragnar team in Salt Lake so he could ride with them the rest of the way to Logan.  He then ran in the Ragnar Relay on Thursday and Friday.  The Ragnar is a 200 mile relay race with teams of 12.  Each runner has 3 legs that they run.  Marshall's runs were 6.76, 5.13, and 7.71 miles.  He ran at 9:00 am, 6:30 pm, and 5:30 am.

This van won "best of show" according to Marshall.  They had huge speakers on top and had to have a generator strapped to the top to run them!

Marshall's last run came up on the south side of Jordanelle Reservoir as the sun came up.

While Marshall was out running Britt took the girls to 7 Peaks along with Joe, Grandma, Izaiah, Indie, Lindsey, Ian, and Angela.

Libby decided to write her name on her arm one morning.  When asked why she did it she responded, "that way everyone can know my name :)".  How do you get mad at that?  Seems pretty logical to me.
